This project will fund one year of private school education of 10 children who hail from the poorest, most disadvantaged sections of society in Jodhpur, India. Under the care of Sambhali Trust, these funds will cover uniforms, school supplies, and tuition, giving these children the opportunity to expand their horizons and create a better future for themselves and their families.
Sambhali Trust works with the poorest sections of Jodhpuri society, expanding options available to families with little means. We believe that that education is the key to a better future. These families cannot afford to send their children to school, leaving them with little hope of breaking their vicious cycle of poverty. We have connected with the sisters and mothers of these children in our empowerment centers, but are committed to uplifting entire families through our approach.
Sambhali Trust will cover the cost of private school education for these 10 children for the period of one year -- uniforms, school supplies, and tution. Sambhali Trust will remain actively involved in their education over this time, receiving report cards and progress updates as the year goes on. In this way, we will ensure that funds are being allocated properly and that these children and their families are benefitting from this educational foundation.
We hope that these 10 children will receive continued funding for at least 5 years so that they can benefit from education in a good school in Jodhpur. For children that Sambhali has sponsored in the past, their results in the first year (66%-82%) have proved that the children are learning in a conducive atmosphere. With education, these children can expand their horizons and the opportunities available to them, increasing their families prospects for generations to come.
