This microproject will empower women in Ghana and South Africa by providing them with sewing skills that will enable them to start their own businesses and break the cycle of poverty. By supporting women with this training, we will create economic independence, promote gender equality, and help women become community leaders. The project will also foster job creation, as successful women entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to employ others, further uplifting their communities.
This project will address gender inequality and economic disparity in Ghana and South Africa, where many women face limited access to education and economic opportunities. By providing women with sewing skills, the project will enable them to start their own businesses, overcome poverty, and challenge societal expectations that often restrict their potential. This microproject will provide an 8-week sewing skills training to women in Ghana and South Africa, enabling them to start their own businesses and achieve financial independence. Once trained, they will also teach others, creating a sustainable cycle of empowerment. This initiative tackles gender inequality by offering women the skills needed to break the poverty cycle and contribute to the economic growth of their communities.
Providing a mass skillshare program and startup loans and support to women this project is tackling the poverty cycle as well as gender inequality in the community as more women become successful in business. Job creation also has a huge long-term impact, as these businesses grow there are more opportunities to employ other women in the community, together we can develop communities and empower women
