A DAY AT THE MET - Project Report

In early November of 2019, Arts For All will host its 13^th Day at the Met field trip with the support from GlobalGiving donations. The first part of the day will consist of professional tour guides from the Metropolitan Museum of Art leading the groups through the highlights of the MET.

Broken up into groups, the students will learn to retell the stories and facts they learned to their peers. Then, students and chaperones will have lunch thanks to the generous donations from the Global Giving campaign. After lunch in the cafeteria, the students will participate in tours facilitated by MET tour guides based on the specific interests and learning goals of the students. This part of the day will be more interactive with tactile learning.

This year, we are partnering with PS163 and The Arthur A. Schomburg School in the Bronx. Approximately 50 students will be coming from both schools to this event. We are excited to partner with PS163 and The Arthur A. Schomburg School in providing these students the opportunity they would not otherwise have to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Arts For All is extremely grateful to YOU! - our donors, for supporting this field trip. We’d also like to send thanks to the dedicated Arts For All volunteers who plan to donate their Saturday to help pass on their passion for art to the children we serve!Without all of you, none of this can be possible, so from the bottom of our hearts we thank you and hope you will continue to support our programs!
