Fundraising for our "wish list" for our school but we thought we would try and see if we can do it! It has been a passion for all our teachers to have transport so we can enhance our educational curriculum by taking our children out of their township school and to experience more of their local environment. Our school has around 170 children across 7 grades and we would love to fundraise and purchase our own bus to take children to the beach to learn to surf and swim, Aquarium to learn and more
Education is the key to change, while we can do so much in a classroom we feel actually taking the children out into their community has far more of an impact, getting children in touch with their world, supporting them to learn about the ocean, wildlife conservation, impact on carbon, recycling and micro-plastics are all better to be inspiring if a child can actually see and touch these issues - we need to get these children out the classroom and out the township
Providing the school with our own bus we will be able to take the children out when we want and without too much expense, just fuel. It will change our teaching for the better, we are all very excited
Inspiring children in the world to become ocean conservationists, ambassadors for renewable energy, wildlife ambassadors and for our children to learn about all the global issues on their door step - education is the power of change!
