A Message of Deep Gratitude from Ruth's Healing

By Nambowa ruth Bulyaba-Kasozi | Executive Director

We are writing to you today with hearts full of gratitude to give you a transparent, raw update on our Executive Director, Ruth. Thanks to your incredible generosity, the funds raised for her Forty Physio Sessions have been a lifeline during one of the most physically challenging seasons of her life.

Following her major surgery on May 6th, Ruth has officially passed the halfway mark of her initial recovery phase. However, as anyone who has undergone major orthopedic or reconstructive surgery knows, the path to walking again is a mountain built on patience, resilience, and intense physical therapy.

We want to share exactly what your support is funding. We have posted a short video from one of Ruth’s recent, critical physiotherapy sessions. It is a raw, unedited look at the hard work, the intense pain, and the steady determination it takes to regain her mobility:

Where Your Support is Going Right Now:

Every dollar you donated to this microproject is directly going toward:

  • Professional Physiotherapist Sessions: Ensuring a certified medical professional guides her exercises so her joints and muscles heal correctly without permanent damage.

  • Pain & Mobility Management: Helping Ruth transition from being entirely seated to taking her first slow, agonizing, but steady flat-footed steps on the ground.

  • Relieving the Ministry Burden: By funding these medical sessions, you have allowed our co-director, Daniel, to keep his focus on running the daily operations of Another Hope Children’s Ministries, knowing Ruth's medical bills are covered.

The Road Ahead

In healing, there are days of taking a few steps forward and days of taking many steps backward. The pain remains very intense during these stretching and strengthening exercises, but Ruth is holding onto God’s strength and practicing her slow walking every single day.

Your gifts didn't just pay for medical appointments; you bought her the specialized care required to get back on her feet so she can continue serving the vulnerable children of Uganda for years to come.

Please continue to keep Ruth in your prayers for pain relief and complete restoration during these upcoming sessions. Thank you for allowing God to use you so beautifully to anchor our leadership team!

With deep love and appreciation,
