Food for a year for Kenson

A microproject by International Disaster Volunteers (IDV)
Food for a year for Kenson

This project will provide a year of nutritious food for Kenson. Kenson's mother brought him to the orphanage because he has no place to live. He was very sad when he arrived while he was trying to adjust to his new environment, he was usually found crying or sleeping. Today, you will often hear his giggles and see his beautiful smile. He is doing well in school and is very smart. Yet without nutritious meals Kenson will be more vulnerable to illness and unable to concentrate in school.

The HTDC Orphanage does its very best for the children in its care, but the situation in Haiti is even tougher right now than usual. Years of political unrest and the assasination of the President have created chaos and rising prices, and the impacts of Covid-19 on the global economy mean that donations are drying up. This means that we urgently need your support to provide nutritious meals for Kenson.

By donating today, you'll help us provide the nutritious food Kenson needs to stay healthy, happy and able to concentrate in school. Donations to this project will cover Kenson's share of the food costs over a year, but will be spent on all the children in parallel as we fundraise for each in turn.

Long-Term Impact

Nutritious meals and a balanced diet help prevent illness and promote healthy growth and development. By providing the nutritious food Kenson needs, you'll give him the chance to build a better future.
