The Heavy rains ,floods have devastated vulnerable families living in the low-lying areas of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Many have lost their homes and belongings and are in urgent need of assistance. This micro-project aims to provide immediate support to 200 affected families by rebuilding damaged huts with tarpaulin sheets and other essential materials. Additionally, we will supply ration kits, necessary domestic cooking utensils, and blankets to help these families regain a sense of Normalcy
In the last week of August, heavy rains caused severe flooding in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The overflowing water damaged canal bridges and inundated low-lying areas throughout the city, severely affecting thousands of families. Floodwaters blocked all roads and reached up to the first floors of houses in these areas. The disaster resulted in significant damage to many homes and the complete loss of belongings for numerous families. There is an urgent need to support the affected families.
This project will address the urgent need for rebuilding activities and providing essential domestic supplies, Cooking utencils, blanktes, ration kits for 200 vulnerable families in the low-lying areas of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, who have been severely affected by heavy rains and floods. Thousands of families have lost everything and have been displaced from their homes. This project aims to provide urgent support to restore a sense of stability and normalcy to these affected families.
The supply of emergency relief, including essential food, dry rations, hygiene kits, cooking utensils, will help people return to a normal life, free from the immediate effects of the floods. Additionally, rebuilding activities are crucial to restore homes & infrastructure. The assistance provided by our team will accelerate the process toward achieving normalcy. The Project Team will prepare the community to respond more effectively to future emergencies through disaster preparedness measurs
