Thanks so much for helping us build a sustainable future for kids like Gusline! Because of you, we’ll be able to buy five chickens and their first month of food once the coop is built.

The orphanage already has 18 chickens in a small coop, and those eggs already yield a small profit in support of kids like Gusline. That’s how the orphanage knows that, with more chickens, they’ll be able to make over $260 a month! As it costs just $250 a year to educate a child, that is a really significant profit.

Combined with an additional business renting out a bus, the orphanage will be making more than $1,000 a month once the chicken coop is built, and that will cut its reliance on international aid in half.

For kids like Gusline, a sustainable income for the orphanage is the key to a secure, dignified future. Your generosity has brought her one step closer to that bright future. Thanks so much!

We’ll be sending you updates on how your gift is changing Gusline’s life through this project’s parent project, “Make a Haitian Orphanage Self-Sufficient” right here on GlobalGiving. If you ever have any questions about how we’re using your donation, please don’t hesitate to email Emma@IDVolunteers.org. We’d love to hear from

you!

Thanks again for helping Gusline and we wish you all the very best!
