Thank you for your decision to support us to give Elders at “Mis Años Dorados” healthy food every day, grown by their own hands!
Most of the older ladies and gentlemen who come to “Mis Años Dorados” in Samayac have been cultivating land for a long time in their lives and most of them have served in agriculture work. By now they became good friends here and some know each other from past times. During their regular leisure time they hang out in the patio area and the gardens, talking, enjoying peace and freedom and sometimes playing games like Bingo.
Most say that they are really happy when the Semillas Team comes visiting with new plants and new recipes. They enjoy playing with the earth and taking care of a successful growing of the veggies and herbs, like when they were younger. Our local team also coaches the elderly centers´ staff members in safe food preparation and cooking nutritious meals. Activities in the garden and kitchen with the elders respects and values their ability to learn and grow.
Thank you for your kind gift in humanity!
Note: Your recurring donation will automatically go over to our main project Fighting Malnutrition in rural Guatemala!
