Final Progress Report: Feed the Hungry-50 Elderly People Microproject & Urgent Call for Main Project

By Joseph Anthony A Chukka | Project Leader

Dear Esteemed Friends and Supporters,

Namaste and warm greetings from BASS, India!

We are writing to share the final progress report of our recently concluded microproject, "Feed the Hungry: 50 Elderly People - 90 Days in India." This initiative was launched with the goal of providing essential daily nutritious meals to vulnerable elderly individuals, ensuring their well-being and dignity.

We are pleased to report that through this microproject, we have been successfully providing daily nutritious meals to 50 vulnerable elderly individuals across three dedicated center in Pallekona. The center have evolved into much more than mere meal distribution points; they are vibrant community hubs where seniors gather daily around 10 AM, finding companionship, sharing moments of joy, and receiving vital nourishment. For those who are sick or unable to travel, our compassionate staff ensure meals are delivered directly to their doorsteps, upholding our commitment to their care.

Unfortunately, the microproject did not meet its fundraising goal of $2000.

Thanks to your invaluable support, we were able to raise just $70.

This amount, while deeply appreciated, is significantly insufficient to cover the increasing operational costs, including food supplies, essential salaries for cooks and helpers, and center rents.

To put this into perspective, sustaining just one center for approximately 50 seniors requires at least USD 500 per month. With three centers supporting 110 individuals, our actual monthly need is considerably higher to maintain the level of service and cover all operational costs.

Therefore, we humbly and urgently request your continued and deepened support. Your contribution is vital to ensure these vulnerable elderly individuals can continue to receive their daily meals, access crucial community support, and maintain their improved health and dignity at our centers.

To ensure the uninterrupted provision of these life-sustaining services, we earnestly invite you to direct your generous support to our main project, which provides ongoing sustenance and care.

Please make a new donation to our main project here: Make a Donation

Your generous donation, whether a one-time gift or a monthly pledge, will make a tremendous and immediate difference in the lives of these precious seniors. Your kindness ensures they do not go hungry and continue to experience the warmth of community.

Thank you once again for your ongoing kindness, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of the elderly in Guntur. Your support is truly a blessing.

Sincerely,

The Team at BASS, India
