Slum children in India are deprived of basic meal. As a children they are malnourished and sick. El Shaddai believes in feeding at lease one nutritious meal to children on the street and slum thus it has introduced a project Meals on Wheels Manna food distribution in Goa.
The street/slum children in Goa migrate from other poor states in India and come to Goa dreaming of better life. In Goa they end up as beggars, rag pickers or child laborers. These children are deprived of basic food, mal nourished and are victim of child abuse.
El Shaddai Charitable Trust invite them to the day care shelter projects across Goa to have a nutritious lunch; every day there are 290 children come for lunch. The centers also distribute 275 Meal on Wheels Manna food packs in market places, slums on daily basis across Goa. It has six residential homes for 309 deprived children who are provided with nutritious lunch, breakfast and dinner on daily basis.
These children are malnourished, without proper clothes on them and psychologically disturbed. El Shaddai helps them to get back to their proper childhood, education and better life. It gives them chance to dream again and have hope for future. El Shaddai has six homes,helping 300 children; fifty children under each home.
