What 35 cents means to an impoverished child is the difference between hunger and health! At the Live and Learn in Kenya Education Center in Nakuru, Kenya 35 cents means a child receives a warm meal 6 days a week. Caring people have shown how important it is to them through their kind donations.
We at Live and Learn in Kenya International are so thankful for the kind donations that made it possible for us to provide more than 1240 meals to hungry children. Their meals at the LLK Education Center are usually their only meal of the day. It is important to us to provide these daily meals because if a child is hungry and thirsty, there is no way for them to be able to concentrate on lessons in school - and that is what Live and Learn in Kenya International is all about. We aren't just feeding "smiles" - we're feeding minds. Working towards or motto Education is the Key to the Future means providing everything that the child needs to be able to focus on learning - including nutritious meals and fresh water.
Thank you for being a part of Feed a Smile.
Our new GlobalGiving feeding program project is called "Let's keep food on 480 children's plates in Kenya".
Your donations would be much appreciated!
Asante sana - thank you so much.
