FEED A DESTITUTE CHILD
The project feed a destitute child helped El Shasddai homes raise funds for feeding a destitute child in our care, a meal once a day. The children in the homes have single mothers or children in need of care and protection and are raised under the care of our residential house, with the money raised from donations the children were provided with a nutritious meal once a day either for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The children are relocated from the slums to the home they are malnourished and weak. The funds raised through this project were used to provide at meals to the children which will help them grow as healthy kids. The meals that the Children were provided with, was nutritious breakfast which consist of chapatti, egg burgi & tea, Dosa Potato Bhaji & Tea. And with nutritious Lunch which consist of Chicken Xacuti, Rice, raitha with grated carrot, coriander & jeera, chole chana masala, & pickle, jeera rice & vegetable pathal bhaji, dal makhani & rice, pulav, green peas curry whereas the dinner is provided with nutritious Dinner which consist of dal, & Vegetables Bhaji, Chapatti and Soya chunk Bhaji, Rice, Egg.
At El Shaddai we have been closely monitoring the children’s health and growth and we have found a marked improvement in the children weights since they were brought to the homes, most of them were malnourished and had various infections when they were admitted to our homes with the balanced diet the children health and weight has improved andthe children are healthy.
