Dear friends and partners,
This year has been a year of precedents; precedents that are caused by abnormal circumstances and has been mentally and physically taxing on everybody.
And at a time like this, all we have is trying to maintain a good health and maintain a steady job, as many businesses are at risk.
In Muzeiko, this was a period for reflection, exploring alternatives, tackling tasks that have always been on hold due to lack of time or urgency.
During the pandemic lockdown, we developed more than 50 scripts for videos with engaging science and art-related content. They were live streamed by the team of Muzeiko Children's Science Centre and uploaded on a YouTube channel.
Also, free resources for teachers were prepared: lesson kits, comprising plans, multimedia presentations, information materials – ready to be implemented in offline or virtual settings, stimulating transdisciplinary approaches, creativity and group work. They were published in a platform with free access: https://mymuzeiko.bg/.
GlobalGiving's hardship microgrant allowed us to continue work in this direction and additionally develop new lines of activity oriented towards consulting in education and training of teachers.
A few companies agreed to sponsor some more leraning videos and we are continuing to seek funds to upgrade and promote MyMuzeiko platform, as well as to continuously enrich its content.
Sending you warm wishes and virtual hugs,
Muzeiko’s team
