Today's society is considered to be female dominated society. Today, women is busy with her job in every sector and achieve height. But, Meanwhile, the origin of a new social evil has taken place which brings disorders to the female dominated society. The evil is "Gender Inequality" which has been dispersed everywhere equally in urban and rural region both. Girls are considered as curse and female foeticide is being practised which is a matter of concern for the society. The Girl (fetus) is still developing doesn't know her guilt and she is pushed to darkness of death before let her come to the brightness of "Life". "Want of Son" is the major cause of Gender inequality in the society, but the society doesn't know or don't want to know that this attitude has brought it to face the problem "Gender Inequality". This so called "Want of Son" has introduced the indifference of male-female ration to the society.
To fight against the evil, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan and Global Giving together, under the project "Stop violence against Women", have conveyed message for awareness by organising signature campaign, workshops, poster competition and awareness rally. "Stop Violence against Women" has been organised at two villages Khanpura and Bhanwta. More than a hundred veterans, women and young girls and boys participated in the program. In this series, awareness message was conveyed for "Gender Equality" by a puppet show, then a poster competition was organised for youth on several issues as female foeticide, save girl, educate girl and gender equality. The activists of Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan organised a workshop for gender equality to maker people aware. At last, they were swore in to make other people aware by signature campaing, rally and oath ceremony.
At the end of the program, our activist had conversation with one woman. In her words,
"My name is Kusum, got married six years ago with Govind. my husband does odd jobs but thats not enough to meet the requirements of our family. Our four-years old daughter, Suman, goes to school but we had to stop her being educated due to lack of enough fund. My stitch clothes and meet the requirements of my family somehow. But my family had to suffer from disturbance and strife every now and then due to the addiction of consuming liquor of my husband for last 8 months. He consumes liquor daily and had quarrel with me also beat me and abused me which had adverse effect on my child. At last I decided to get separated from my husband. Today I have participated in "Stop Violence against Women" and got consulted by the RSKS India organisation's activists along with support. They contacted to my husband and called him for consultation, My husband listened them carefully and understood them, consequently We are having a happy married life. I thank Global Giving Foundation and Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan who returned my happy life to me and provided me study material for my daughter."
