Empower a Rural Community by Building a School Dandantiri Millet Stalk Schoolhouse Inside of one classroom Limited to no resources Millet stalks make up all four sides of the school During the rainy season the roof collapsed Schoolhouse Door Sometimes 4 students share one desk There is no lighting or electricity in the school The school is falling apart; villagers took action The community meets to plan their work together The work begins but we need your help too! Water Committee of Lampiadi Waits for their Well Hydraulic water filter press How ceramic water filtration works Under the roof of the new school in Dandantiri We were greeted with song by women & dance by men Ina greets the king of Boungou Students dance in celebration Homemade scaffolding used to build the school The new structure for the students of Dandantiri
