Brief description about course:
Information Technology Enabled Services course are designed in such a way that slum youth will be able to get opportunity to learn a computer based course which will be helpful to them while taking job in an IT field as it is an essential tool required in today’s world no matter where you are employed.  Computer literacy does not mean that you need to know about all the details of the computer, how to write programs, how to repair it but it means knowing the basics of computer. In workplace these skills are extremely important as these days computers are used everywhere and by everyone for example in a bank, in railway reservation systems, in all government and private offices and also in hospitals to maintain records etc. Today IT skills are very relevant for the students who want to start their career in any field.

Case Study:
18 years student named Rahul Dineshbhai Kharva  at Vadodara’s Sayajiganj Center hailed from a modest background with a household income of `.3,000 per month. Under no circumstances was this amount enough to sustain a big, seven member family or to pursue his education after 12th grade. Rahul knew that he needed to upgrade his skills to contribute to the family and this was when he chanced upon SAATH’s training centre in Baroda. While pursuing the ITES course he also went through life skills and communication training. This proved to be one of the stepping stones of success for Rahul. Upon completion of the course, he got placed at Reliance Communication as a marketing executive with a salary of `.4,000 per month. Rahul is ecstatic about being able to contribute financially to family and is looking out for greener pastures in the future.
