A training program has been designed in order to empower 20 young women, who are at risk because of being young school dropout and women who are unable to go out from home for learning any activities which will provide them opportunity to be self-reliant. They will become self-sustainable economically through trainings on income generating activities like Embroidery Work, Beauty Parlor, Bag / Purse Making, Basic Computer, Basic English and Life Skill Courses.
Women from slums face many problems like health, education, social, political and economic disempowerment, etc. They not only lack basic services but also have to deal with issue of male domination, identity crisis, shouldering responsibility and making it on their own. Hence they do not have any employable skills. Lack of exposure to education also leads to low level of confidence and empowerment.
The training will provide youth a platform where the unemployed and dropout women will be trained to meet the basic trainings for Embroidery Work,Beauty Parlor,Bag-Purse Making,Basic Computer,Basic English and Life Skill.Based on the needs of the market training will help them to get opportunity to work from home in various activities.After Completion of training program SAATH will provide a certificate for their marketability.Program will act as a platform to empower women& reduce unemployment
The project will provide training and entry in the formal job market to 20 young women.
