Although this microproject did not raise the full amount needed to purchase a generator, the funds received allowed Yspaniola to make important interim improvements to address electricity challenges at our office in Batey Libertad.
With donor support, we were able to temporarily resolve the immediate electricity problem and purchase new batteries to strengthen short-term power access. These measures have helped us maintain basic operations and continue supporting students, teachers, volunteers, and staff while we work toward the longer-term goal of acquiring a generator.
Reliable electricity remains essential for the functioning of our learning environment, preschool, and office. It allows us to sustain educational and administrative activities and to keep devices available for student and teacher use. While the project goal was not fully met, the support received contributed to a practical and necessary temporary solution.
Yspaniola remains committed to securing the additional funds needed to purchase a generator in the future. We are grateful for the support received through this project and for the progress it made possible.
