Dear Friends,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for supporting our project to purchase an egg incubator for poor women so that they can scale-up their duck-raising livelihood activities. The egg incubator is very useful because they don't wait for the ducks to sit on the egg and they can produce ducklings on a regular basis. Neighbors also use their incubator for a fee and this is added income for the women. Duck meat is a delicacy here and is easy to sell. Eggs also contain high protein and is an added welcome to the diet of the family raising the ducks. It is also easy to sell the eggs. Our aim is to purchase a much more expensive incubator but our funds limit us to do this so we purchased a cheaper version with small load of up to 100 eggs per incubation. The advantage of the small load incubator is that it is easy to take care and manage by the women.
Again, thank you very much for your generosity.
With much thanks,
Cora Sayre
