Getting Edith out of her abusive home in France and back to the USA was a challenge. Her abusive husband locked her in a back bedroom. When we called the police to help Edith escape, her husband told authorities when they arrived Edith had dementia and didn't know what she was saying.
Finally, earlier this month we were able to get Edith out with the help of an American woman's group. They got her out of the house, to the airport, and onto a plane. Edith is home in the USA, safe, with her granddaugher Michele.
Michele wanted us to thank all of you who donated to help her grandmother.
The AODVC team would like to thank you for believing in our mission and helping battered Americans like Edith who are experiencing horrible abuse.
