This project will provide adequate educational spaces on the Chiapas coast for children and youth on their return to school with the COVID-19 pandemic. These improvements will ensure a safe and dignified return to school and will prevent the spread of the virus.
In a large part of communities on the Chiapas coast, children and young students come from low-income families. Education, health, food and adequate technology for learning involves a lot of economic effort. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused stress, anger, sadness and greater vulnerability for these groups, because in addition to not having good medical care, learning has been affected by technological and infrastructure limitations.
Will provide safe spaces and adequate infrastructure in educational centers on the Chiapas coast according to sanitary measures. Health and eating habits are promoted in children and adolescents to prevent the spread of the virus and to strengthen the immune system. Educational personnel are trained to implement sanitary and medical processes on the COVID-19. We will be working in partnership with local NGO CDH Digna Ochoa.
This project will allow 874 children and young people to return to classes in safe and dignified spaces in times of the pandemic, which will guarantee health and continuity in their education.
