This project will help build a conducive computer learning center with at least 200 computers (desktops/Laptops) in Kpaduma village in Abuja, Nigeria, providing an efficient power supply for proper studies for 1000 children unable to have access to digital literacy opportunities. Julie Helping Hands Foundation intends to employ 10 more trainers so as to accomplish the objectives of this project, as we currently have one trainer training over 50 children weekly for a duration of 12 months
There are currently more than 1,000 children without access to digital literacy education in Kpaduma village, but we are working in batches that kicked off in October 2022 and will end in October 2023. There are not enough funds to get better-equipped computer learning centers, computer systems, internet availability, and better power supply because the power supply in the village is very poor. We also need funds to set up petty businesses so as to get them self-employed and self-reliant.
JHfoundation will provide educational mediums through which the unlearned can gain ICT and business skills and become self-employed, thereby reducing unemployment in society and the country as a whole.
The project will help educate 1000 children, helping them rise out of digital illiteracy, poverty, and unemployment.
