G A comes to Helping Hands from a small town in the countryside. As the top student in her high school she gained direct entrance to the university. She is now in her fourth year of Dentistry and with the more advanced classes she must buy many dental supplies for her practical studies. This micro project will provide the funds to buy the many dental materials she will need to complete this year successfully.
G. A.'s mother died before she began her university studies and her father is ill. G A is on her own and must work on the weekends to pay her rent and food expenses, but she cannot earn enough for her dental materials. This microproject will cover the costs of the dental materials for her practical studies. As a dentist G A will be able to provide for herself and improve the dental health of her small town. Without this assistance, G.A. runs the risk of having to abandon her studies.
With your support, Helping Hands will provide the funds for G.A.'s dental materials for 2019 to assure that she can finish the year successfully. G A hopes to work as a dentist in her home town when she graduates as there is a serious lack of dental services for the community there. She will be able to provide for herself and her younger sister and also be instrumental in improving the health of her community.
Educating girls promotes many positive changes. Educated girls have children later and usually have fewer children. They put more importance on a good education for each child and are more aware of the importance of good health care for their children. Educated girls are more prepared to begin to break the cycle of poverty. They are better prepared to contribute to the development of their community and their country.
