Denise suffers from a rare skin disease. She is covered with bruises and wounds, which are infected and make her very vulnerable to bacteria. Those infections cause her skin to be itchy. That's why she scratches her skin and worsens the situation. Her family belongs to the poorest in Rwanda and can't afford a specialist for treatment or medication, not even basic needs like food.
This project will pay for Denise's doctor visits and will enable her to see a specialist to inspect her skin. Additionally it will finance much needed medication. Since her family can't afford the most basic needs, it will also provide for food and other essentials, so that her parents can focus on other things than just her daughters disease.
Denise and her family should have a life without worrying about her skin condition and the problems that come with it. She should be able to live a normal life, where she can attend school and play with other kids, rather than living in permanent pain and fear for her health.
