In the past our fundraising has been all about our children. We are proud of that. Through the incredible blessing of a huge farm and school we are able to pay all of our internal administration costs; we don't need donations to pay our wages, power bills or general maintenance. However with a national shut down in effect our school is closed and we just wouldn't feel right trying to collect fees from parents in our area who are already struggling so much.
Each month we pay around USD$8300 in salaries and allowances to our staff, workers and dependents (kids over 18 who still live here on the mission). We are not sure how we are going to be able to pay this amount in the coming months without some help. There are 93 people who rely on the income we provide them to manage their homes each day. This is where this project comes in.
We do not want to have to cut down our workforce or reduce wages. Funds collected through this project will go directly to the hands of the incredible people who make this place what it is. To the loving arms of those who have provided shelter and a home to children for so many years.
As an organization we have been moving forward with incredible pace over the years, a constant state of expansion has seen our impact in our community grow beyond our wildest dreams. We do not want to see that impact lessened; we want to continue to provide a light and a hope to those who are in need.
