Challenge

In rural India child labour, sex work, no education, poverty and disease are common place. A patriarchal society, obsessed with honour means torture for many. Despite government cuts and increasing demand for our front line services Snehalaya has managed to keep offering our services. At a pivotal point, we need to look within, make key decisions and ensure we keep reaching India's untouchables. Help us grow well to continue the real fight: Human Rights of Women, Children & LGBT in India.

Solution

We will bring in six qualified professionals to consult with us collaboratively, roadmapping us into a better future. Working directly with our steering committee, project heads and ground workers to build and implement a solutions based plan we can follow. If we want build capacity and work sustainably we need professional organisational guidance and staff training to become a better NGO Only then can we continue to serve the growing number of Women, Children & LGBT with our vital services

Long-Term Impact

We enter in the emergency moments when there is no-one else. 16 projects work collectively to take vulnerable people in high-risk situations and support them into meaningful lives. We naturally focus on the immediate need of our clients and not the long term plan for us as an organisation. With clients needs growing fast closure is not an option. Improving ours operations and building for our future is essential for us as a forward looking NGo and for the marginalised thousands we exist for.
