After two back to back hurricanes the Northern Coast of Honduras became a priority. Most people ended up living at their roofs without food or water and supplies. Part of the coast is called the Mosquito coast or as the locals say Moskito. In this remote area there are no roads from mainland Honduras to the coast. All supplies have to be taken by boat or by air.
We have been able to get 3 shipments in since the hurricane. Food, clean water and powdered milk for the babies. We have also been able to work with the military to aid in these deliveries. There is also a awesome woman named Mirna who has been sure the supplies get to who needs them most. She has been a invaluable resource for the coast.
Thank you for your support in this very difficult time.
Gratefully,
