The COVID 19 pandemic has affected everyone and women in rural communities are not an exception. Kukula Solar embarked on a project to distribute efficient clean cookstoves to villages in rural communities of Eastern Provinces so that women can be empowered and stop using firewood and charcoal for cooking.
We were on a mission to distribute 2,000 clean cookstoves to rural women so that we help reduce deforestation.
We are glad to report that we managed to distribute a total of 3,215 clean cookstoves, helping over 20,000 people cook under a smokeless stove and reducing their chances of contracting the COVID 19 pandemic.
To all our donors who helped us raise money for this cause, we are saying thank you very much and always know that you are part of this success story!
