Deutscher Projektbericht
English Project Report
In the course of the Christmas campaign for the widows of St. Monica Village we were able to collect $705. The objective of he campaign was to raise funds for buying sustainable Christmas presents for them. We wanted to enable the widows to have a joyful, merry Christmas and give them something that would help them to cope with everyday life.
On account of the donations a Christmas parties could be organized. To mark the occasion the widows prepared some chicken, which many of them can usually not afford to eat. The presents were distributed through a raffle. After Christmas the presents were purchased and given directly to the widows on 9th January 2018. Among the items that were bought were 100 chickens, 15 goats and large amounts of food handed out in food boxes which will each provide one good meal for a family. Thanks to the generous donations all of the widows received a present, which they were more than grateful for.
They have written a letter to all donors, which we have attached to this report.
Diesen Dankesbrief haben die Witwen geschrieben/ This thank you note has been written by the widows:

On behalf of St. Monica Widows Cooperative I wish to pass our great thanks and happiness concerning the great presents contributed to us by well-wishers. We pray that our Almighty God bless each of you abundantly. We really appreciate the great presents i.e. goats, chicken, foodbox, maize, sugar and many more. This enables widows who were not able to buy something for the family to get present each. It was an amazing day for us widows because nobody could have done to us such great thing. May the work of your hands be blessed.
We cannot forget to thank all contributed the presents. Now some of us will soon have goats in their homes and will pass to each widows when the goats give birth. That means after few years all widows will have goats at their homes. Also those who received chicken will get many chickens in future.
Words alone can not express how widows were happy on the distribution day. God bless you all.
Kind Regards,
Manager Rhoda on behalf of St. Monica widows
