THANKS TO YOU:
Despite access and viability limitations, on November 14, 2023, we were able to deliver the first 10 tons of corn to 14 of the most vulnerable communities in the agrarian nucleus of Cacahuatepec, which were seriously affected by Hurricane Otis.
On December 2, 2023, 20 tons of corn were delivered to 19 of the 47 communities that make up the agrarian community of Cacahuatepec.
Along with this second delivery, the first community assesment were carried out to draw up an action plan for recovery.
ACTION PLAN
From early response to medium and long-term measures in 24 months
In the communities identified, after the comprehensive diagnosis, community mapping of socio-environmental risks will be carried out in the agrarian nucleus of Cacahuatepec in order to introduce the fundamental concepts of comprehensive risk management. This will enable the communities themselves to identify their main vulnerabilities and establish action plans or measures to be implemented. The activities, which will be planned jointly with the communities, are grouped into the following lines of action:
1. Adequate, safe and sustainable housing
2. Water and sanitation
3. Food sovereignty
