Since the 1980s our lives have grown increasingly digital. The impact it has on our lives is tremendous. Most of our photos, videos, conversations, research and writings are now stored on local computers and increasingly more popular in data centres distributed throughout the world. Doing business, trading, and even live meetings now mostly happen through the internet, on a laptop, a tablet or even on a phone! At least... this is what is happing in the leading countries of the world. Because the young professionals of Myanmar don't have a clue about this hyper modern reality. "That's just in movies right?".
Over 2 million Burmese migrants left Burma escaping decades of conflicts, military oppression, and economic instability in search of a better life in Thailand. Migrants work low-paying jobs, face rights violations and trafficking exploitation. Children suffer the most, as many fall victim to child labor.
You are giving our Burmese children the opportunity to break the poverty cycle and work in a safe environment by allowing them to study modern technology.
This project will contribute to ending the poverty cycle of Burmese migrants by improving our IT education program available for 500 at risk Burmese migrant youth and children.
"If there is a chance for me to provide a better future for my family, I will grab it with both hands and dedicate my life to it." - Student Grade 7
We will never give up on our children in need.
Our 90 days fundraising project has ended, and although we didn't meet our goal, we will never stop campaigning until we have sufficient funds to build the IT center for our children to study modern technology. We will safely park your donation until we reach our goal and make sure it's spend 100% to this project.
Thank you for believing in us.
