We are incredibly grateful to the people who have supported this microproject,
Build a high security wall & keep our campus safe!
Security is a basic human right and one of our top priorities, so we are really pleased to report that last week work resumed on the building of the campus wall, and we are making great progress toward completion by the end of January!
Work was delayed due to a very severe and lengthy rainy season that led to widespread flooding in the area. The foundations of the wall had only just been finished when the rains started, and they really took a battering - but thanks to the great workmanship of our building team led by Kasi they survived! The safety of our 800+ pupils is our top priority, and the perimeter wall is vital to protect people, property and equipment on the entire campus day and night. Replacement of over 300 meters of inadequate fencing with high security walling will help provide a safer and more relaxed environment for the children and staff as they learn and work. It will give reassurance to patients using our clinic to get medical attention – so will also help our neighbours and have a knock-on effect in the local community.

STOP PRESS: We are delighted to report that after nearly two years of coronavirus closure the schools and SAM reopened on 10th January 2022! I will be writing a new report for SAM with pictures of the children returning to school in the very near future!
