Punto Crea was a success at Balam 2021

This is the third year Punto Crea attends Balam, the Guatemala national robotics competition, and the second time it is held online. Ten young women and men from the Guatemalan highlands took part and were coached by us. The results show that the soft and hard skills Punto Crea teaches are worth the trouble.

Although our fundraising for Balam 2021 through GlobalGiving fell far short of our goal, our young team more than made up for it in performance. Out of 1,400 participants throughout Guatemala, Punto Crea's 10 member team got a first and second place and four honorable mentions. Please look at the attached photos, where Dr. Oscar Rodas, head of the Balam robotics competition announced online the prizes for our participating youth.

So let's learn resilience and persistence from these young women and men. I believe these results show why Punto Crea is the way to go! Thanks for your help this year, but please be sure to spread the news. Share our project page with family, friends and colleagues and let's get more people involved.

Thanks again!
