Thanks to your collaboration, we were able to support firefighters of Fundación Bomberos combat forest fires that were destroying the province of Corrientes, in Argentina.
The "Bridges of prevention" campaign was launched in 2021 after the incessant forest fires thataffected 14 argentine provinces. At the end of the year 2021, the forest fires began to take aleading role in Corrientes and Misiones, where, at the beginning of 2022, the affected partiesin the province of Corrientes had reached 600,000.
Upon the declaration of national emergency in Corrientes, 304 Volunteer Firefighters Associations intervened in forest firesalong with more than 1700 firefighters from all over the country. The proceeds were invested in equipment and supplies for personal protection and forest fireassistance to be delivered to the Volunteer Firefighters Associations that provided aid during fires.
Without your support, thousands of families would have lost their home to the fire since volunteer firefighters would not have been protected enough to fight them safely and effectively.
We thank you for your collaboration! Corrientes is now better prepared to face future fires and emergencies if needed. We will continue to work hard to prevent and tackle fires all over the country.
