We take full-time care of over 21 very Vulnerable Children, who have nowhere else safe to go. In taking care of our Children, we must also wash their day clothes, school uniforms and Music and Dance Costumes. Our current old washing machine no longer works properly and though we have repaired it many times, we know it will expire soon. But yet, we must be able to keep our Children Well and Clean, as well as Loved and Cherished. All funds raised will provide for a new Washing Machine!
It will make sure that our Children have adequate clean clothes to wear to school, for daily life and for their Music and Dance performances. In the care of many Children, hygiene is very important, to prevent disease and skin conditions.
This project, by providing us with a new, large capacity and effective Washing Machine, will help us to wash all our Children's Clothing on a daily basis, as well as their bed l8nen.
The 25 children who stay at KCDI have the possibility to build a future in a safe and caring environment. Being able to receive free tuition allows them to study scholastic education from primary school to university level, Cambodian music, dance and theatre, vocational training and training in performance and transition into young adulthood, giving these young students the only possibility they have of building a future. Since 1994, 450 students have already graduated with positive results.
