Like so many children in Haiti, Sonia's life was turned upside down by the earthquake. Her mother was killed, and although she and her father survived, they lost everything they had. Since then, Sonia's dad hasn't been able to find work, so he hasn't been able to pay Sonia's school fees. But, with your help, we can provide Sonia with the scholarship she needs to stay in school and build a bright future!
School in Haiti is not free, and if a family cannot pay, their children simply do not attend. Lack of education locks these children in a cycle of poverty. Ensuring access to school not only improves children's lives, but strengthens Haitian communities in the long-term.
Sonia has lived her whole life in poverty. Your donation will give Sonia the education she needs to ensure she can support herself and find a route of to security. We'll use your donation to pay Sonia's school fees, provide books, school supplies, and extra support if she needs it. The education she'll receive will be life changing.
