A year of meals for Wikenson

A microproject by International Disaster Volunteers (IDV)
Vetted

Summary

This project will provide a year of nutritious food for Wikenson. Wikenson's mother passed away in 2009, and his father died of cholera in 2010. He was left living on the streets until a friend of his family brought him to the HTDC orphanage. But the orphanage can't afford to feed Wikenson and without nutritious meals to keep him growing, Wikenson's future will be bleak.

Challenge

As an orphan, Wikenson is among the most vulnerable of Haitian children. There isn't an effective nationwide child protection service operating in Haiti to provide for his basic needs. This means that, without your help, Wikenson will have to go without nutritious meals, leaving him more vulnerable to illness and less healthy.

Solution

By donating today, you'll help us provide the food Wikenson needs to stay healthy.

Long-Term Impact

A healthy, balanced diet prevents illness and promotes healthy growth. By providing the nutritious food Wikenson needs, you're preventing illness and helping him grow up strong!
