This project will provide a year of nutritious food for 13 year old Mudoleine. Mudoleine arrived at the HTDC orphanage in 2010 with her two brothers. Her dad made the heart breaking decision to leave Mudoleine at the orphanage after his wife died in that year's earthquake, leaving him with eight children he couldn't afford to care for. Mudoleine is a bright, cuddly child who loves to play with her brothers. But without nutritious meals to keep her growing, Mudoleine's future will be bleak.
As an orphan, Mudoleine is among the most vulnerable of Haitian children. There isn't an effective nationwide child protection service operating in Haiti to provide for her basic needs. This means that, without your help, Mudoleine may have to go without nutritious meals, leaving her more vulnerable to illness and less healthy.
By donating today, you'll help us provide the food Mudoleine needs to stay healthy. Note that the orphanage is home to around thirty children. Donations to this project will cover Mudoleine's share of the food costs over a year, but will be spent on all the children in parallel as we fundraise for each in turn.
