This project will provide a year of safe housing for Novelie. Novelie is six and after her mom died she was left in the care of a young aunt. Novelie's aunt couldn't afford to care for her and so she brought her to the HTDC orphanage. Novelie was very sad for a long time but now she's begun to smile again. But without the orphanage to keep her safe, Novelie would be forced to fend for herself as a street-kid.
As an orphan, Novelie is among the most vulnerable of Haitian children. There isn't an effective nationwide child protection service operating in Haiti to provide for her basic needs. This means that, without your help, Novelie would be a homeless street-kid, leaving her vulnerable to exploitation and destined to a life of poverty.
By donating today, you'll help us provide the home Novelie needs to stay safe and to grow up with a fighting chance. You'll also help us provide caregivers to look after Novelie and also ensure that she has access to water and electricity.
A safe home and care are essential for every child. By providing these for Novelie , you're giving her the foundations she needs to build a bright future.
