Thanks so much for helping to provide a safe home for Chanini.
Before the 2010 earthquake nine year old Chanini was cared for by her grandmother, along with 9 other kids. But after the earthquake, Chanini's grandmother couldn't afford to look after all 10 children, so she took Chanini to the HTDC orphanage.
Chanini's grandmother hoped the orphanage could keep a roof over her head, but safe houses large enough for all the kids are very expensive in Port-au-Prince. The orphanage can’t afford to pay it’s own rent and, without your help, Chanini was in danger of becoming a homeless street-kid.
But now, thanks to you, Chanini will continue to have a safe home.
Although this microproject wasn't fully funded, your kind donations are still enough to help pay the rent and provide caregivers, water and electricity for Chanini’s for around six months. We think that’s amazing - thank you so much!
Chanini has a brighter future because you gave. There are so many things you could have spent your hard earned money on, but you chose Chanini. Thanks so much.
