Thanks so much for helping to provide a rescue boat for Pina.
Pina is fifty six years old and she lives with her husband and four children in Banaba, just outside Manila.Their house is partly made from bricks but it's dangerously close to a river.
Pina lives in constant fear of heavy rains as these cause the river to quickly burst its banks. When this happens it’s hard for Pina’s family to get to safety in time. Pina is pretty strong for her age but she’s getting older and she has a big family to look after too.
But now, because of your generosity, we’ll be able to provide a large rescue boat for Pina, her family, and families like theirs.
This boat will be there to ensure that Pina and her family can be safely evacuated during floods. This will protect their lives during disasters and ensure that they sleep a little easier when heavy rain is on the way.
