Thanks so much for helping provide a rescue boat for Monica.
Monica is 64 years old and she lives alone in the community of Banaba, just outside Manila. Monica’s house is dangerously close to a riverbank and she lives in constant fear of heavy rains which cause the river to quickly burst its banks.
When this happens Monica doesn’t have family members to help her, and she can easily become trapped by the quickly rising water. Without a rescue boat to evacuate her Monica could easily lose her life in a major flood.
But now because of your generosity, we’ll be able to provide a large rescue boat for Monica, and other families in danger of flooding. This boat will ensure that Monica can be safely evacuated during floods. This will protect her life during disasters and ensure that she sleeps a little easier when heavy rain is on the way.
We’ll send you updates about how your gift is changing the lives of Monica, and other vulnerable families, right here on GlobalGiving. Should you ever have any questions about how we’re using your donation, please don’t hesitate to email Andy@IDVolunteers.org. We’d love to hear from you!
One last time, thanks so much for ensuring that Monica will have a rescue boat nearby to keep her safe.
