Thanks so much for helping to provide a rescue boat for John.
Six year old John lives with his parents, two sisters and younger brother in the Armpac area of Banaba, just outside Manila. Their house is partly made from bricks but it's dangerously close to a river.
John’s parents live in constant fear of heavy rains as these cause the river to quickly burst its banks. When this happens it’s can be hard for them to get John and their three other children to safety in time.
Without a rescue boat to evacuate them John’s family could easily lose the lives in a major flood.
Yet now, because of your generosity, we’ll be able to provide a large rescue boat for John, his family, and other families like theirs.
This boat will be there to ensure that John and his family can be safely evacuated during floods. This will protect their lives during disasters and ensure that they sleep a little easier when heavy rain is on the way.
We’ll send you updates about how your gift is changing the lives of John, his family and families like theirs right here on GlobalGiving. Should you ever have any questions about how we’re using your donation, please don’t hesitate to email Andy@IDVolunteers.org. We’d love to hear from you!
One last time, thanks so much (or Salamat Po in Tagalog) for ensuring that John and his family have a rescue boat nearby to keep them safe.
