This project will complete the Green Cafe, the first building of Warm Heart's Regenerative Learning Center. Built from recycled Styrofoam bricks, it will demonstrate solar power, rainwater harvesting, and sustainable gardening while generating income to support Warm Heart's children. As the only coffee shop in the area, it will provide a lasting example of how environmental sustainability and community development can work together.
Rural communities often lack affordable, real-world examples of sustainable technologies they can see, understand, and replicate. Many environmental solutions remain out of reach because people have no opportunity to experience them in action. At the same time, nonprofits serving vulnerable children face ongoing challenges in securing dependable sources of funding to sustain their programs.
This will help complete the Green Cafe, the first building of Warm Heart's Regenerative Learning Center. Built from recycled Styrofoam bricks, it will demonstrate solar power, Living fence, rainwater harvesting, training for local farmers and sustainable gardening in a real-world setting. As the only coffee shop in our rural area, which is growing due to it's proximity to several tourist destinations, it will also generate ongoing income to help support the children and programs of Warm Heart.
The cafe will provide a sustainable source of income for the children at Warm Heart. Located on the road from Chiang Mai to Phrao, it will serve both local Thai customers and travelers. Visitors can learn about Warm Heart's work and see practical examples of regenerative practices in action, helping increase awareness of sustainable living among both local communities and international visitors.
