This project will buy special food items to enable 10 poor families celebrate Christmas in Uganda, these families have not celebrated such special days, last year one of the neighbors to these families had slaughtered a cow for sale to the community, when the meat went bad as most people could not buy, these families benefited from free beef, this year this project will enable them to have the best of their Christmas.
There are families that are headed by the elderly people, those headed by ill people and those headed by children them selves that can not afford a special meal on a special day, as others are celebrating, they look on.
This project will buy all the necessary items needed for them to have their day special, beef, chicken, soda, rice, bananas will be part of the menu, this will also help to boost on the immune system of these poor households.
Mountains of Hope has also initiated a micro project and fundraising page on Globalgiving for small businesses for these families to enable them to be self sustained in the near future
