Zack and his team were preparing to discuss their donor communications when they watched GlobalGiving’s Online Fundraising Academy webinar: How to Write Earth-Changing Emails, which inspired them to do things differently. “It was an awakening to think not just, ‘what have we done well and how can we repeat it?’ but ‘what new risks can we take to improve donor emotional proximity?'”

The WISER International team began to re-strategize their donor communications to prepare for their annual campaign. They also decided to go out of their email norm and began to use videos in their campaign communications.
Zack and the Wiser International team learned the importance of taking smart risks, especially when it comes to growing donor relationships. Although blind repetition can be a safe move when you are short for time, he and the team learned the benefit of staying ‘flexible and fresh’ in their external face and identity to maintain donor engagement.
