Jessica Crawford is the Africa Programs Specialist at Self-Help International. Self-Help works to alleviate hunger by helping people help themselves, with education and training programs providing access to community-led growth and development opportunities in Nicaragua, Central America and Ghana, West Africa. After graduating in 2010 with a BSc in Child and Family Services from Iowa State University, Jessica has worked in community development and empowerment both in Ghana through agriculture and education initiatives and in the U.S., working in refugee services and young women’s empowerment programs.
