Gabriela pursues her love for building global relationships as the Community Engagement Associate. Before GlobalGiving, she served as a house manager at a crisis pregnancy shelter and, later, worked on the sales team for an international education company. She received her bachelor’s degree in Spanish and biology from Princeton University, where she wrote her thesis on indigenous voices in the Amazon. Given her work across academic, non-profit, and corporate sectors, the unifying thread between her interests has always been understanding the intricacies of communication and connectedness between peoples and environments. Aside from learning what it means to make meaningful change in the world, she’s also passionate about taking spontaneous road-trips, talking to trees, and dancing in the kitchen while she cooks.
