Coral conservation expert Austin Bowden-Kerby

Widely known as “The Coral Gardener,” Austin Bowden-Kerby is a semi-retired coral reef restoration scientist (BS, MS, PhD) living in Fiji. He has been experimenting with coral conservation techniques for over 40 years, and was awarded the National Geographic Ashoka Changemakers Award for the environment in 2011. He is the founder of the nonprofit Corals for Conservation.
